1 1/2 years exclusive responsible for running a virtualized 3 tier production critical ERP Landscape (7 x 24) connected to a 2 tier BI Landscape with Portal. Team responsibility for two other ERP Landscapes located in India and USA.

Environment: ECC 6.0x, Netweaver 7.0x, WIN2003 / 2012, Oracle 10 / 11, Citrix, VMWare 4.x/5.5

1st and 2nd level support regarding all SAP Basis issues. Implementing SAP Notes, patches, kernel updates, maintaining transport management system.

SAP archiving, providing data for external use via DART. Heterogenous and homogeneous system copies with NetApp Flex Clone technology and SAP software provisioning manager.

Granting permissions and maintaining access roles with profile generator. Managing the Windows domain of the SAP Landscape including own printers and print servers running special software for label printing of hazardous materials.

Maintaining and monitoring primary and secondary (backup) storage systems. Developing, improving and implementing von concepts and scripts for automation processes of syncing and reorganizing data.

Coordinating external consultants and implementing and connecting 3rd party systems (e.g. EDI, Seeburger, Lobster, Ecovision, Open Text, Atos, Ebsoft, Retarus, WWI/EHS etc.)

exchange of EMC storage system with NetApp FAS 3240 / FAS2040

Set up SAN infrastructure containing two clustered NetApp 3240 with NetApp 2040 mirror system.

Implementing NetApp specific technologies (e.g. thin provisioning, Flex Clone etc). Replacing WIN file servers with CIFS services.

Substitution of the old backup solution with NetApp technologies (snap repository, SMSAP, Snap Drive, Snap Mirror) displacement of the old oracle shadow DB with Snap Mirror, improving the Business Continuity Processes for SAP an NON SAP Systems.

Virtualizing ERP productive system and backup server with upgrade backup software and restructuring the backup to tape concept using NetApp software.

Renewal tape library, domain controllers and ESX hosts thereby update VMWare to 4.1.

Setup Storage system similar to EMEA with connecting to EMEA’ s backup storage via Snap Mirror.
